No joke this is my actual most anticipated game of 2016. I do love management games.

So I don’t build the cities? I just build the tracks? Do I get to build the roads?
![]() 10/17/2016 at 19:53 |

You build Roads, Tramlines, Rails, Airports and Harbours.

So it’s different from a classic city building game in that I don’t build services too? Can I zone?

I. Fucking. Love. Locomotion.
![]() 10/17/2016 at 20:04 |

Yeah, it isn’t a city builder. It’s a transport network simulator. You create transport lines between cities and industries to help cities grow.

Pre-order on Steam for 10% off!
I’m going to check the specs, see if my crappy PC can handle it.

Also if you own this game’s predecessor that being Train Fever (which is 80% off at the moment) you get an extra 25% off. Also that game had fairly low requirements and this is essentially a much better running expansion pack.

Make this comment again so I can star it again please.

I’m sure it’s just nostalgia but I always liked Locomotion more than TTD. Sadly it didn’t work on my old computer; hopefully it will on my new one.

Maybe good stuff! I bought Transport Tycoon for $5 in 1996 from a bargain bin at Best Buy, and have spent hundreds (thousands?) of hours playing TT, TTD, and OpenTTD over the past twenty years. By far the best value I’ve ever gotten out of game (assuming we don’t consider the opportunity cost of those hours).

I bought Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 as part of a recent Humble Bundle so maybe he got a couple cents from that?

From the video, it actually reminds me more of Cities in Motion than TT, though of course that doesn’t have freight.

Nah he sold all of that to Atari. Hence why Frontier, the people who made all these wonderful games are not making Roller Coaster Tycoon 4. Fortunately Planet Coaster looks way better than Roller Coaster Tycoon 4

I would argue Cities in Motion is Transport Tycoon but based on inner city travel as opposed to intercity. Transport Fever like Train Fever allows you to do both as well as handle freight. Either way I’m so happy Transport management games are having a resurgence.

Reminds me a lot of A-train, minus the planes.
